The North American Teckel Club (NATC)
The NATC is a Gruppe (group) of the Deutsche Teckel Klub (DTK) and it’s mission is to preserve the dachshund's hunting heritage, to promote their usefulness in the field and to support the breeding of dachshunds with sound bodies and stable temperaments. The Deutscher Teckel Klub (DTK) Formed in 1888, the DTK has almost 25,000 members in more than 300 groups. The DTK is the second oldest breed club in Germany and is a member of the Verband für das Deutsche Hundewesen (VDH), the Fédération Cynologique Internationale (FCI), the Jagdgebrauchshundverbandes (JGHV) and the Weltunion Teckel (WUT). For the past 110 years the DTK has kept a breed book into which every dog bred by its members has been entered (www.dtk1888.de/startseite). |
